Top 5 Maps and Navigation Applications Performance in Kuwait Q4 2022

In the fourth quarter of 2022, the maps and navigation category in Kuwait saw notable activity across the top five apps. Here's a closer look at their performance metrics:

Kuwait Finder from The Public Authority For Civil Information showed a consistent performance in weekly downloads and active users. Weekly downloads fluctuated slightly but generally increased from 4.7K in late September to around 5.6K by the end of December. Active users also saw a gradual rise, starting from 11.4K in late September and peaking at approximately 12.9K in mid-December.

Waze Navigation & Live Traffic, developed by Waze, experienced varied download rates throughout the quarter. Weekly downloads ranged from 2.3K in late September to just under 2.4K by the end of December. Active user numbers remained robust, fluctuating between 142.8K and 164.3K, with a peak in the last week of December.

GPS, Maps, Voice Navigation by AppStar Studios maintained steady revenue of around $6 to $7 per week. Downloads, however, saw a decline from 982 in late September to 701 by the end of December. Weekly active users reflected this trend, decreasing from 2.9K to about 2.4K over the same period.

Careem – rides, food & more, by Careem, observed a slight dip in downloads, with numbers starting at 1.9K in late September and ending at approximately 2K in the last week of December. Active users remained relatively stable, hovering around 33K throughout the quarter.

CityLink Shuttle from Camina Lab SL experienced a significant drop in weekly downloads, starting from 1.5K in late September and decreasing to 553 by the end of December.
